This is a super-unusual vintage elephant brand bandana from the late 40s (1948-ish?). The bandana itself is red with a black & white print and the trunk DOWN elephant in the corner between the words Fast-Color.  The large center area of the bandana has been printed with the C&O For Progress railroad logo. Because the trunk down Elephant brand logo usually is pre-1950 AND and the fact that that the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad began using that train logo & slogan in 1948 I'm assuming that this bandana dates from then too. (Of course I could be off by a year or 2)  This is a sweet bit  of railroad & advertising memorabelia as well as a swell mid century  Elephant brand banana!
