This is a nifty vintage novelty apron from the 50s. The white cotton apron has a woven herringbone weave running side to side because the woven selvedges of the fabric were used for the top edge and hem. This was probably a time saver AND a more efficient use of the fabric. Each side edge has a narrow hem.
The apron features a picture of a Diner Chef named Sloppy Nick shown above a menu explaining diner slang of the era. Pretty cool- I always drink a cuppa mud with my bowl of graveyard stew :-)
Pre-owned, used. If there are any stains I didn’t notice them.
The apron measures-
Center front length- 34”
Waist- 26 1/2” across between the tie ends
Each apron string is 20” long
