This is a lovely purple Irish handkerchief linen hankie was made by Burmel, and still has the original sticker in one corner. That sticker says, 'a Burmel original, Irish linen, hand rolled in the Philippines'. The hankie was then hand painted (not factory painted) in one corner with a blue (or scrub) jay sitting on a pine branch. The artwork is signed JS? at the lower right corner. The entire hankie is edged with white hand rolled hems.
Pre-owned, used; in good condition EXCEPT FOR a couple of faint stains that look like smudges from the painting process. I don’t recommend washing this piece but it would look great framed!
