Here is an antique baby garment bag or nursery laundry bag that features an incredible traditional Mother Goose print fabric. I'm guessing the piece is from the very early 20th century- it reminds me of late Victorian illustrations from childrens books. The front closes with blue textured snaps that close tightly (you should hold the fabric carefully and pull the snap slowly to prevent the cotton from tearing). The front edges are bound in matching solid blue binding. The fabric is rather loosely woven, not a sturdy muslin; that's why I think it could be a garment bag. There's a wooden hanger at the top; I don't know if it’s the original one or not.
21 1/2" wide X 32" long with one single side seam.
Pre-owned, used; in good condition with no noted flaws. Sold as found- I haven't laundered it myself but it's clean from my storage room. It's a very nice piece for nursery decor, doll display or children's library. OR you could buy it to salvage the fabric. That would make me sorta sad but to each their own :-)
