This is a lovely green cardboard tube advertising (and full of) Collins Special Marking Powder. This would have been used for hemming garments with a special tool, or for pouncing for embroidery on dark fabrics. The top is punctured so some powder is gone. I LOVE this green color that was so often used in the 30s-40s! Perfect for display in your sewing room or to add to your vintage haberdashery collection!
