This is a rare & glorious all-grown-up Wednesday Adams type vintage dress! Dating from the 1940s. it's labeled "Styled by Dorian" and was originally made for or sold at the "Franklin Simon" store. This luxurious gothic-vibe gown buttons with self-fabric buttons to the fitted waist and then continues with a metal zipper to approx. knee length (with a sewn seam from zipper end to hem). The front has gathers at the upper bust; the skirt is gathered at sides both front and back. The high neck is finished with an ecru lace collar- not sure if it's original or not. The long sleeves are full with gathers at the wrist (not elastic).
 
Pre-owned, used; in good condition with no noted flaws EXCEPT the top button at the neck is gone. I'll replace the original buttons upon request before shipping; I have a LARGE stash of black glass buttons of the appropriate era that would look fantastic on this dress! Or I can simply replace the top button to something similar IF YOU"D LIKE!
