This genuine vintage brown velvet dress from the 1930s is simply gorgeous and SO SOFT!! Made of either rayon, silk or a blend of silk-rayon plush woven velvet, the dress is a rich, dark
brown.  Shaped waist, v-neck, 2 vertical shirred lengths from the sleeve hem, tiny self-fabric back buttons. Not cut on the bias so there's NO stretch to the fabric. Closes with a metal zipper at the side waist.
 
Please note- I had to edit the photos heavily to show the gathers , shirring & other details- the dark brown super-plush velvet doesn't show details well otherwise! The dress is a dark rich brown with no spots or uneven coloring at all. 
 
Pre-owned, used; in great wearable condition with no noted flaws. I said this one is stunning and I meant it!! :-) 
 
No labels on the dress. Shown on my modern Gap size 4 mannequin and it fits her quite well. Please read the actual garment measurements given next--
