This is an unusual lot of vintage mending thread. There's 6 long round bobbin-shaped spindles, each holding up to 10 different colors of thread. These are sort-of messy and I don't know how a person would prevent a snarl with every use, but they're pretty to look at! 
 
Pre-owned, genuine vintage item. There are some empty spaces on the spindle rods; they aren't all full.
