Vintage OR antique (early 20th century) Uzbek traditional embroidered wool coat. A classic cut garment, it's made from lightweight wool that's embroidered with yellow, white & black hand embroidery at the neck, collar, cuffs and hem. The inside is awesome tho rough- it's lined with wool/cotton blend black with pink floral print, a solid blue and a red/gold/black stripe near the hem edge. It's a riot of pattern, color and texture where the outer embroidery stitches show on the inside. The inside seams are wide & unfinished, exposing both hand and machine stitches.
Pre-owned, from the early part of the 20th century (I think), there is moth damage at the shoulder, wear on the inside and a couple of various stains. The piping trim needs to be reattached here & there. And there's a cord & tassel on one sleeve that's missing on the other sleeve.
Handmade, there's no size labels. Shown on my size 4 mannequin. Back pit to pit- 22" across
Hem- 42" around
Center back length- 38"
Sleeve length- 28" from wrist to center back
